$60,000.00+/year (Starting wage dependant on qualifications.)

Position Summary:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the organization's procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, equipment, and services required to support production and business operations. This role focuses on supplier management, strategic sourcing, cost control, contract negotiations, and inventory replenishment while maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, and manage purchasing strategies that support operational objectives and production requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to maximize value and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to ensure materials and services are available when required.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Maintain and Audit inventory accuracy
- Analyze purchasing trends, market conditions, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Issue and manage purchase orders while ensuring purchasing activities comply with company policies.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Support ERP system utilization and continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or a related role.
- Basic understanding of purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and inventory management principles required.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems or other purchasing/inventory software is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external suppliers.
