Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer to join our team, supporting various outdoor and construction projects. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, construction, and general site upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in horticulture, irrigation, and construction while contributing to the maintenance and development of outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation tasks using equipment such as excavators under supervision
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system installation or repair
- Operate hand tools and power tools for various construction and maintenance activities
- Support gardening and horticultural activities to promote healthy plant growth
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a safe work environment
- Support team members in completing projects on time and according to specifications
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and basic repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction tasks
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to work effectively in outdoor environments
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills related to maintenance, landscaping, and construction projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
