Duncan Lanes Bowling Center & Arcade is a licensed family entertainment facility featuring 18 bowling lanes and a redemption arcade. We welcome league bowlers, families, and groups celebrating special events. We are currently seeking one or two friendly, reliable individuals to join our team.
Position Overview
In this guest-facing role, you will help create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience throughout the bowling centre. The position combines customer service, food and beverage service, event support, arcade assistance, cash handling, and general cleaning duties.
Key Responsibilities
· Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service.
· Explain bowling options and available snack bar and beverage selections.
· Prepare and serve snack bar food and beverages.
· Host birthday parties, group bookings, and other events.
· Monitor the redemption arcade and assist guests as needed.
· Process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
· Assign bowling lanes and coordinate lane placements.
· Answer telephone inquiries and schedule reservations.
· Clean tables, bowling areas, and shared spaces between groups.
· Complete opening or closing duties, depending on the shift.
· Follow safety, food-service, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
Required Qualifications
· FoodSafe certification.
· Legally able to serve alcohol (19 years old and valid Serving It Right certification).
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
· Comfort using or learning a POS system and handling cash.
· Available for evening and weekend shifts.
Preferred Experience
· Previous customer service experience.
· Bartending or food and beverage service experience.
· Experience in entertainment, hospitality, or event environments.
Schedule
Applicants must be available to work weekend shifts. Opening or closing responsibilities will vary by scheduled shift.
