We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Flooring Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with clients both inside the showroom and through outside sales efforts to promote high-quality flooring products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales expertise, and a passion for helping customers transform their spaces. Experience in renovation, construction, or retail sales is highly valued, along with proficiency in marketing and product demonstrations. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with CAD or SketchUp are a plus, enabling effective client consultations and design presentations. As a Flooring Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving high-end sales, upselling products, and managing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their flooring needs and provide expert guidance on product options.
- Conduct product demos and showcase features of various flooring materials to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and account management with accuracy and professionalism.
- Develop new client relationships through outside sales efforts and maintain existing customer accounts through effective communication and follow-up.
- Upsell premium products and complementary services to maximize sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with renovation and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage merchandising displays to attract customer attention and promote featured products effectively.
- Implement marketing strategies to increase store traffic and brand awareness in the local community.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, inside or outside sales, or high-end sales environments.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transactions.
- Knowledge of renovation, construction processes, or related industries is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for merchandising and account management.
- Ability to demonstrate products effectively through demos or presentations.
- Strong negotiation skills to close sales and upsell products confidently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
