Early Learning Educator
Seasonal - 35 hours per week
kcs Association is looking for a Spring student to support our Early Learning Program. You will be directly involved with supervising children in play-based educational activities during the week from Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week. Responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to):
- Foster child’s independence within a safe learning environment
- To ensure children are appropriately supervised at all times
- Help facilitate activities for children
- Assist with prep/clean up each week
- Work collaboratively with other team members
- To communicate with parents/caregivers
- Follow all kcs policies
- Treat information pertaining to individuals or programs with strict confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Certificate Level 1
- Experience working with children; experience with developmental needs an asset
- Good communication skills
- Must be between 18 and 30 years of age (Government grant requirements)
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Intervention Check
- First Aid/CPR
Salary: $16.00 per hour plus wage enhancement
The position is 35 hours a week for 8 weeks, with possibility of extension.
