Our client, a well-established and design-focused architecture and interior design firm, is seeking a
Senior Architectural Technologist to join its growing team.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced technical professional who enjoys translating design concepts into thoughtful, buildable solutions while mentoring others and contributing to the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects.
Working alongside architects, designers, and project managers, you will play a key role in producing high-quality technical documentation, coordinating project teams, and ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through construction.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll combine technical expertise with strong project coordination skills to support projects across multiple sectors. You'll work on a variety of commercial and residential developments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that are creative, functional, and technically sound.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project documentation, contribute to technical leadership, and support the development of junior team members within a collaborative studio environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and coordinate detailed construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Translate design concepts into accurate, practical, and buildable solutions.
- Lead the technical production of projects from design development through construction documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, and project teams throughout all phases of a project.
- Review drawings and documentation for quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in managing project schedules, priorities, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance where required.
- Communicate design intent through sketches, drawings, and presentations.
- Support continuous improvement of drafting standards, workflows, and BIM practices.
- Represent the firm professionally with clients, consultants, and industry organizations when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Technology or Architectural Drafting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on commercial and/or residential architectural projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, building systems, and construction processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience reviewing and coordinating the work of others is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with REVIT
