We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Operations Manager who enjoys a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed.
Position Overview
This is not a desk-only management role. We are looking for someone who leads by example, enjoys working with customers, and is comfortable spending time both in the office and in the shop. The ideal candidate is a "jack of all trades" with strong mechanical aptitude and excellent people skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rental and repair facility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service.
- Coordinate shop workflow and support technicians to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
- Assist mechanics with trailer repairs and troubleshooting when required.
- Operate company vehicles and move trailers safely as needed.
- Perform routine building and property maintenance.
- Complete minor repairs including painting, welding, equipment maintenance, and general handyman work.
- Ensure the yard, shop, and fleet are organized, clean, and operating safely.
- Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and scheduling with customers and staff.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist management with improving processes and supporting business growth.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Driver's Licence (required).
- Experience in trailer, truck, heavy equipment, or fleet operations is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in repairs.
- Welding, fabrication, and general maintenance experience are considered strong assets.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help wherever needed.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
