Job Description:
In the role of the pharmacy assistant, you will:
* Work alongside the pharmacist to process and prepare prescriptions
* Provide excellent customer service in-person and via phone to patients
* Maintain inventory levels and pharmacy supplies to ensure the smooth operation of our dispensary.
* Prescription assembly – data entry
* Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
* Advance non sterile Compounding ** Is a must**
* Pill Pack Assembly
* Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
* Drug order creation and receiving
* Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
* Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, expired product and assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
Job Requirements
- Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multitask
- Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
- Experience with fill ware is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
