Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Paramedics to join our team to work with us at various industrial sites in the Saint John region. This position is part time/casual and based on needs at the sites we support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to perform under pressure in various situations. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support for sick and injured employees in an industrial setting.
Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to provide appropriate medical care.
- Administer medications and treatments as required.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders and site staff.
- Assist in heavy lifting of patients and equipment as necessary during emergencies.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in accordance with health regulations and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Valid license from Paramedic Association of New Brunswick
- Valid drivers license
- Current CPR certification
- Must be willing to work all shifts (days, nights, weekends and holidays).
- Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Experience in emergency setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and site staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
