About the Role
FAM Powder Coating is looking for a motivated Business Central Developer Co-op to join our IT team. This position is ideal for students interested in ERP development and Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with our Business Central Developer on developing, customizing, and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions while gaining real-world ERP development experience.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn enterprise software development, business processes, and Microsoft's ERP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL.
- Create and modify:
- Tables
- Pages
- Page Extensions
- Table Extensions
- Codeunits
- Reports
- Enums
- Assist in developing new Business Central features and extensions.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Test new functionality and resolve defects.
- Assist with API integrations between Business Central and third-party systems.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Document technical solutions and development processes.
- Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and implement solutions.
QualificationsRequired
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related program.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Basic knowledge of AL programming language.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience creating Business Central extensions.
- Understanding of ERP systems and business processes.
- Experience with Power BI or Power Automate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 technologies.
