Canuel Caterers is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic School Chef to join our team at Pacific Academy.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen while enjoying a Monday to Friday schedule with evenings, weekends, and school breaks off.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Winter Break, Spring Break, Summer Break, and School Pro-D Days off
Wage
$20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake fresh muffins, scones, cookies, and other baked goods each morning
- Prepare and cook hot breakfast and lunch entrées
- Perform large-batch cooking while maintaining consistency and quality
- Assist with weekly food and supply ordering
- Assist with monthly inventory counts
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and food safety
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with FoodSafe standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the cafeteria team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Provide friendly customer service to students, staff, and administration
- Represent Canuel Caterers in a professional manner within the school community
Qualifications
- Valid FoodSafe Certificate (required)
- Successful Criminal Record Check (required)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
