Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality in the packing process. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Packer will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center. The hours are from 8:00 am- 4:00 pm Monday-Friday in Stratford Ontario.
Duties
- Accurately pack products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment.
- Perform order picking tasks to gather items for shipment.
- Ensure that all packed items are labeled correctly and securely packaged.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area.
- Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or packing is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Experience with order picking processes is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
