McLaughlin Trusses Inc - is currently looking for a Class 3 relief driver to join our Truss Manufacturing team in Wakefield NB. We are a manufacturer specializing in the design and manufacture of pre-engineered structural systems for commercial and residential construction projects in Atlantic Canada and New England States.
McLaughlin trusses is a trusted manufacturing and delivery company committed to safety, reliability, and excellent service. We are currently seeking a responsible and experienced Class 3 Relief Driver to join our team on a flexible basis, with the potential opportunity to become fulltime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 1-Ton truck hauling fifth wheel trailers and tag along flat deck trailers.
- Provide relief driving coverage as needed for scheduled routes or driver absences.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues.
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods while adhering to company policies and traffic regulations.
- Operate and maintain trucks and trailers in a safe and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Verify correct product is delivered at every stop.
- Maintain strong communication with both office, logistics, peers and customers.
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers at point of delivery and be the face of the company.
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and reports in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required. Ability to operating mobile equipment (Loader/Forklift) would be considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating Class 3 vehicles safely.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic laws.
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Good physical fitness for loading/unloading tasks when required.
