Job Description
· Medical Reception
· Proficiency in medical software & data management
· Scheduling & coordinating patient appointment for consultation & endoscopy procedures
· Creating & managing electronic medical records (EMR)
· Scanning & filing documents
· Performing tasks originating from the triage of referrals
· Assisting with the preparation of documents for clinics & endoscopy procedures
· Responding to telephone, email and in-person inquiries from patients, physicians & physician’s offices
· Ensuring patient privacy & confidentiality
· Liaising with patients
· Liaising with physicians & nursing staff
· Supporting administrative supervisor as required
· Supporting clinic manager when required
· Perform other related office administrative duties as required
Required Education & Certifications
· Office or Medical Administration Certificate/Diploma
-Level 2 Criminal Records and Judicial Matters check will be required for the successful candidate
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Prior experience with EMR
· Knowledge of general office procedures
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word & Power Point
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent communication abilities (superior customer service)
· Attention to detail
· Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
· Ability to carry out instructions provided in written or verbal form
· Proactive and flexible approach to managing tasks efficiently
· Empathy, patient centered mindset
· Flexible availability (week days, occasional weekend)*
*1 Year Commitment
*Eligible to work in Canada
· Bilingualism an asset
Starting salary: $20/hour with room for growth. This position comes with an additional monthly performance bonus.
The successful candidate will receive 4-6 weeks of specialized & intense paid training to prepare them for their role. Because of this intense & specialized training we would ask that the successful candidate commit to their position for at least 1 year.
