Accounts Payable Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Finance Department, you'll play a key role in ensuring accounts payable transactions are processed accurately and on time, while helping support the organization's day-to-day financial operations.
What you will do.
- Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment inquiries
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
- Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and ensure payments are made on time
- Maintain well-organized, accurate accounts payable files and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and research any discrepancies
- Provide general administrative and accounting support to the finance team
- Post charges and payments to the appropriate internal expense accounts
- Prepare and process electronic payments and fund transfers
- Monitor outstanding payables to keep accounts current
- Complete filing duties as needed
- Perform bank runs as required
What you will bring
- Post secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple deadlines without compromising accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service orientation
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Yardi is an asset
