We seek an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Manufacturing Engineer at Mancor, you will be responsible for the efficient production of heavy steel structures and large-scale assemblies. Your expertise in welding, machining, and large structure assembly will be essential to the success of our manufacturing processes. In addition to technical proficiency, you will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment by implementing proper tools and methods.
As an Engineering team member, you will work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, low-volume custom manufacturing setting. You will need to adapt to changing circumstances, troubleshoot technical issues, and devise innovative solutions to streamline our manufacturing processes while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
· Champion a safety culture within the factory by introducing and implementing best practices, safety tools, and training programs. Identify potential hazards and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
· Utilize your extensive knowledge of welding techniques, machining processes, and large structure assembly to optimize production methods and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
· Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
· Collaborate with the quality control team to develop and maintain quality standards and inspection procedures to guarantee the production of high-quality products.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, design engineering, and maintenance, to resolve manufacturing issues and optimize processes.
· Create and maintain detailed documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions, equipment setups, and process specifications.
· Conduct cost analyses to identify cost reduction and process optimization opportunities while maintaining safety and product quality.
· Manage NPI and track progress of new part launches
Education & Qualifications
· University or College degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
· Commitment to safety and a proven track record of promoting a safe work environment.
· Five years of experience in heavy steel structure welding, machining, and large structure assembly.
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, and welding standards and techniques.
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems is essential. Experience with Onramp Solutions is an asset.
· Application of Lean Manufacturing principles and knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. A Six Sigma green belt or higher is an asset.
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Salary: CAD 85,000 – CAD 90,000 per Year
