The Planning, Development & Real Estate department is looking for a temporary full-time Manager, Processing Services to join their team for approximately two (2) years. Reporting to the Director, Development, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of administrative processes that support development and permitting activities across the City. You will oversee the intake, coordination and processing of development and permit applications, ensuring efficient, accurate and consistent service from submission through to permit issuance and inspection scheduling. You will also lead a team of permit and application administration staff and support the delivery of the City’s development approvals process.
You will oversee permit administration, application circulation, records management and inspection scheduling while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards. You will monitor performance metrics, implement process improvements, support digital permitting initiatives and work closely with internal departments to ensure coordinated and customer-focused service delivery.
Your qualifications include a degree in Planning, Engineering, Public Administration or a related discipline, supplemented by considerable experience in municipal permitting, development application processing, land development administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have demonstrated leadership in a regulatory or administrative environment and possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. Experience with permitting systems and workflow tools is preferred.

We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule. The salary range is $99,324 to $116,844 annually (2026 rates).
