The Role
We are seeking a high-performing Team Lead Vac Truck Operator to join our team. This isn't just a driving job; we need a reliable professional capable of overseeing job sites, managing a helper, and representing our company to clients. You will operate a Low Profile F550 Vac truck and trailer jetter system, ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safe operation of an F550 Vac truck and high-pressure trailer jetter systems.
- Leadership: Supervise and delegate tasks to a helper; ensure the crew stays on schedule and follows safety protocols.
- Customer Relations: Act as a primary point of contact on-site, communicating work progress clearly to customers and service managers.
- Compliance & Documentation: Accurately maintain Driver’s Daily Logs, Work Orders, manifests, and confined space permits (digital and manual).
- General Labour: Perform hands-on work including the use of power tools and high-pressure water blasting equipment as needed.
What You Bring
- Licensing: Valid Class G License (Required). Class A or AR is a significant asset.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Vac Truck or Hydro-excavation experience. Familiarity with sewer jetting is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of government manifest documents and defensive driving methods.
- Leadership Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, a "lead by example" work ethic, and the ability to pivot between tasks in all weather conditions.
- Reliability: A track record of consistent attendance and punctuality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour
