Responsibilities
- Assist licensed massage therapists in delivering various massage modalities, including deep tissue and trigger point therapy, to clients seeking pain management and relaxation.
- Prepare treatment rooms, including setting up tables, linens, oils, and equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend stretches or exercises to enhance ongoing wellness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments performed, client feedback, and progress notes in compliance with clinic policies.
- Uphold high standards of patient service by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and active listening throughout each session.
- Support occupational health initiatives by adhering to safety protocols and promoting a healthy environment for clients and staff.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a recognized massage therapy program with foundational knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Passionate about patient service with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Familiarity with massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy is preferred.
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and understanding of occupational health principles are advantageous.
- Prior experience or exposure to med spa environments or medical settings is a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively within a team.
