Forge Recruitment is currently engaged in a search for an experienced, driven and motivated Labor and Employment Legal Assistant. About the Role
- Maintain appointment calendars, tickler system, lawyers' files and records.
- Manage Scheduling for hearings and court dates.
- Opening and closing of files, docketing, and billing.
- Prepare legal documents; proofreading for accuracy.
- Preparation and drafting of routine correspondence.
- Liaise with clients, legal counsel and others under the direction of the lawyer and initiate follow-up action as required.
- Additional related legal administrative responsibilities as required.
Salary Range
$65,000 - $75,000
What You Bring
- Successful completion of a Legal Administration program, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Labor and Employment law role.
- Experience using a Document Management System (DMS), MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of the Courts, the Rules of Civil Procedure and Administrative Tribunal Procedures.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
