Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, transporting goods, and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to customers. This is a part-time position, and may work into a full-time position. Drive must provide a drivers abstract and apply with references.
Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or other heavy machinery
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation of goods
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking oil, tires, brakes, and other essential components
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols and transportation guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers
- Must live in the Stettler area or willing to relocate.
