Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-organized sales environment, and supporting the overall store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and familiarity with merchandising and cash handling. knowledge in Supplements are considered valuable assets. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Maintain attractive product displays through effective merchandising techniques
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on gardening, landscaping, or horticulture products when needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including e-commerce options and online orders
- Ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Engage in upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and drive sales
- Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and ensure smooth daily operations
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and organizational skills are beneficial for success in this role
- Experience or interest in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is a plus
- Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in English and other languages, are highly valued for serving diverse customers
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards
