Job Description: Agricultural Technician (Equine Care & Program Support)
Position Summary
The Agricultural Technician (Equine Care & Program Support) will support the care and management of a therapeutic herd while contributing to the delivery of equine-assisted programming for individuals with disabilities. This role combines hands-on animal care, participant support, and environmentally sustainable land management practices within a therapeutic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the health, well-being, and readiness of the therapeutic herd through feeding, grooming, and specialized monitoring to ensure suitability for programming.
- Assist in the delivery of adaptive therapeutic programs by performing horse leading and sidewalking duties during lessons, working directly with participants with disabilities.
- Support sustainable land management practices, including pasture rotation, soil conservation, and general facility upkeep.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and accessible therapeutic environment, ensuring high standards of safety and sanitation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and effective program delivery having equine health and wellbeing top of mind.

Supervision and Support
The participant will receive ongoing guidance, feedback, and training to support skill development and successful job performance. This role reports directly to the Executive Director however is supported by and works collaboratively with the entire team.
Length of Position
This is a contract position until May 1, 2027.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
