Caregiver – Seniors & Elderly Support
Are you a compassionate individual who enjoys making a meaningful difference in people’s lives? Luxcare is looking for caring and dedicated Caregivers / Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to join our team and provide essential support to seniors and elderly clients in the Victoria, BC area.
Important Requirements Before Applying:
- This is an in-person caregiving role serving clients in Victoria, BC. Applicants must currently reside in Victoria, BC, or be able to reliably work in the Victoria area.
- Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Canada. Luxcare does not provide immigration sponsorship or immigration-related documentation, including job offer letters for Permanent Residency applications.
- This role requires open availability for scheduling, including weekdays and weekends, based on client care needs and service requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful connections while helping clients maintain independence and quality of life. Caregivers may support clients with daily activities and community outings, including medical appointments, pharmacy visits, grocery shopping, coffee outings, scenic drives, or relaxing walks.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal support
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, shopping, and community outings based on client needs and family requests
- Support mobility and encourage social engagement
- Provide medication reminders and observe/report changes in clients’ health and well-being
- Provide compassionate support for clients requiring dementia and hospice care
- Perform light housekeeping duties and help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of caregiving experience preferred
- Health Care Assistant (HCA) certification is an asset
- Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry in good standing is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required
- Vehicle must carry valid liability insurance, including business-use coverage, with a minimum of $2 million liability coverage
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Food Safe Certification is an asset
- WHMIS Certification is an asset
- Open availability for weekday and weekend shifts is preferred
- Compassion, patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting seniors and elderly clients is an asset
