Job Description
ADGA is seeking a Physical Security Specialist to join our growing team. Working alongside a team of experienced security professionals and supported by senior team members and subject matter experts, you will contribute to the delivery of responsive, high-quality security consulting services across a variety of client environments.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients to assess and enhance their physical security posture, supporting the protection of critical facilities, personnel, and assets. You will conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities and risks, and provide practical, tailored recommendations to strengthen overall security and operational resilience.
This role involves working with clients across Canada, and occasional travel is required.
This is a proactive recruitment initiative, with potential start dates in the coming weeks or months, contingent on contract award.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate the client’s state of physical security based on the methodologies or Prevention Detection, Response and Recovery and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.

Author security plans, policy & procedure, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Concepts of Operation (CONOPS).

Conduct Security Audits and physical security assessments.

Conduct Facility Security Assessments (FSAs).

Conduct Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs).

Conduct Security Design Briefs (SDBs).

Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and trends in physical security and integrate relevant advancements into security designs and strategies.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience within physical security with elements listed in key responsibilities.

Strong working knowledge of government security policies, guidance, and standards, especially as pertains to Zoning, Security/High Security Zones, Security Management Systems (SMS), alarms, doors, locks, wall construction, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.

Strong working knowledge of Government Leads Agency guideline and responsibilities.

French bilingualism is a desirable asset for this role.

A Physical Security Professional (PSP) or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS or the ability to obtain is considered and asset

A Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or the ability to obtain is considered and asset

Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.
