Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Assembler/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and maintaining die components with precision and efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CAD/CAM software, and experience working with various machining tools. The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality dies used in manufacturing processes, ensuring all parts meet strict specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Assemble and fabricate die components using hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools such as CNC lathes and milling machines
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to accurately produce parts
- Program and operate CNC machinery for precise machining of die parts, including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines
- Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Follow engineering schematics and mathematical calculations to assemble complex die components
- Perform welding tasks to join metal parts securely according to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to optimize production efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs and improve fabrication processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing, machining, or die fabrication with a solid understanding of mechanical principles
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs
- Experience programming and operating CNC equipment including CNC lathe and CNC milling machines
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and mathematical measurements accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to die making and fabrication
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
