Micro printing ltd. is a well-established printing company located in Mississauga. Our company is specialized in offset printing, digital printing and wide format printing. The in-house finishing operations include cutting, folding, stitching, perfect bound, die-cutting and gluing. Micro printing ltd. is looking for a pressman who can operate sheet fed offset presses. An ideal candidate should have an experience of running 40’’ offset printing press or web press. Minimum 10 years of work experience will be required.
Major Job responsibilities will be:
Operate and maintain 6 color and 8 color presses, with the maximum sheet run size of 28×40’’
Should be able to make required changes on press imposition or color set up to get customer’s required job quality
Must know about plate punching and installing/loading the plates on the press, adjust the cylinders accordingly
At the end of the shift pressman is required to clean the press: rollers, changes blankets, remove ink from the machine parts and keep press area neat and clean
Excellent customer service, assist customers while press approval, listen to their queries and make necessary changes before printing the job.
Should know how to use AQ coating and UV coating process
Assist mechanic during periodic maintenance, remove broken parts, change old blankets and filters, remove dry ink from the units
Keep the record of daily Make ready/ plates ran on the press
Make work schedule to get maximum production throughout the shift and prioritize rush jobs, plan and organize jobs as per their sheet sizes, paper thickness and coating features.
Requirements:
Must have 10 years experience and knowledge of 40’’ presses, Komori, Heidelberg or
Mitsubishi.
Must be available for 8 to 10 hours shift from Monday to Friday and some weekends during busy season<l/i>
Must be able to read and understand the job specifications given on job cards
Should attend monthly meetings, and follow manager’s instructions and meet the work deadlines accordingly
Must know about safety rules, wear safety shoes, should use chemicals after reading the labels carefully, must keep hazard products at proper place and keep personal and other worker’s safety in mind.
