This role is a physically active and demanding role - at Grinyer Interior Doors & Closets we manufacture and install custom closet systems and interior doors.
We are looking to add a General Labourer to the team, to work in our clean, modern production environment.
You’ll work with a supportive production team, helping to organize, handle, and package doors while maintaining a safe, efficient workspace. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and enjoys hands-on, physical work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Shop Duties
- Assist with painting prep, masking, and material staging
- Load and unload materials with proper care and organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Support the production team with general labour tasks as required
- Assist with packaging and staging completed orders for installation
Potential for Installation Support
- Assist installers on-site with door and closet system installations
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites
- Support removal and disposal of existing materials
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in customer homes
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and accounted for

Requirements
- Previous experience in construction, woodworking, or general labour preferred
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail, especially in sanding and finishing work
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (doors, track systems, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

- Combination of shop-based work and on-site residential installations
- Fast-paced, physically active role
- Exposure to dust, noise, and finishing materials (PPE provided)
