Opening Opportunity – Build a Kitchen the Right Way
Leuty’s on Queen is a new restaurant opening in Toronto’s Beaches, built on a simple philosophy:

We are creating an elevated, approachable, everyday dining experience – polished but not pretentious, with a strong focus on consistency, hospitality, and team culture.
We are looking for a Head Chef / Kitchen Leader to take ownership of the kitchen and help bring this vision to life.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, team building, and consistency.
You will be responsible for building the kitchen culture from the ground up, leading service, and creating a team that takes pride in what they do.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading all BOH operations from pre-opening through launch and beyond
- Hiring, training, and developing a strong kitchen team
- Delivering consistent, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment
- Managing food costs, inventory, ordering, and prep systems
- Creating structure, standards, and flow in the kitchen
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and health standards
- Working closely with ownership on ongoing improvements and operations

- A proven leader with experience managing and developing a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Calm under pressure and confident running busy services
- Detail-oriented with high standards for quality and presentation
- Ambitious, motivated, and ready to take the next step
This role is ideal for:
- A current Head Chef, or
- A Sous Chef ready to step into their first Head Chef position
Experience
- 4–6+ years in a professional kitchen
- 1–2+ years in a leadership role (Sous Chef or similar)
- Experience in full-service restaurants preferred

Opening Timeline

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
