Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plastering/Venetian Plastering Specialist to join our construction team. This role involves applying high-quality plaster finishes to interior and exterior surfaces, creating smooth, decorative, and textured effects that enhance the aesthetic appeal of various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting, carpentry, and handyman work, with experience reading blueprints and performing detailed surface preparations. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure proper adhesion of plaster materials
- Mix and apply Venetian plaster and other specialized finishes according to project specifications
- Follow blueprints and technical drawings to achieve precise application patterns and textures
- Use hand tools and equipment such as trowels, brushes, and sprayers to achieve desired finishes
- Perform caulking, patching, and minor carpentry tasks as needed for surface preparation or repair
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Assist with other handyman or construction tasks as required to support overall project completion
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting, plastering, or decorative wall finishes
- Strong knowledge of construction processes including blueprint reading and surface preparation techniques
- Carpentry skills for minor framing or repair work related to plastering projects
- Ability to perform caulking and patching with precision for seamless finishes
- Handyman experience is highly desirable for versatile task management on-site
- Excellent attention to detail with an eye for craftsmanship in decorative plaster applications
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting materials up to 50 pounds, and working in various positions throughout the day
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
