Cortex Physio and Rehab is a modern, rapidly growing multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to providing exceptional neurological rehabilitation services across the lifespan. We are expanding our team and are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals maximize their independence, function, and quality of life.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys working in a collaborative environment alongside physiotherapists and speech-language pathologists while building a thriving neurological caseload.

Mandatory Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Professional liability insurance
- Previous clinical experience treating neurological conditions (hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, or community neuro rehabilitation)
- Demonstrated experience providing cognitive assessment and cognitive rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
Experience with concussion rehabilitation, vestibular disorders, return-to-work planning, seating and mobility, assistive devices, or home accessibility assessments is considered a strong asset.

Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive neurological occupational therapy services, including:
Assessment & Clinical Reasoning
- Assess physical, cognitive, perceptual, behavioural, psychosocial, and environmental factors affecting function.
- Differentiate impairment from disability and identify barriers to independence.
- Determine rehabilitation potential considering functional baseline, medical history, current condition, and patient goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based neurological rehabilitation principles.
Cognitive Rehabilitation
- Perform cognitive assessments.
- Design and implement individualized cognitive rehabilitation programs.
- Address attention, memory, executive functioning, problem-solving, safety awareness, and dual-task performance.
- Educate patients and caregivers on cognitive compensation strategies.
Functional Rehabilitation
- Improve independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Improve Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
- Community reintegration
- Energy conservation
- Fatigue management
- Upper extremity rehabilitation
- Functional mobility in collaboration with physiotherapy
- Therapeutic exercise and task-specific training
- Management of tone, spasticity, edema, and range of motion
- Sensory rehabilitation
- Pressure injury prevention
- Seating and positioning optimization
Equipment & Environmental Modification
- Recommend assistive devices
- Wheelchair and seating assessments
- Orthotic recommendations
- Home safety assessments
- Environmental modifications
- Fall prevention strategies

Compensation
Competitive fee split with the majority of revenue going to the Occupational Therapist.
