Job Title: Oil Production Technician
Department: Operations – Oil Product Processing
Reporting to: Team Lead
Position Summary:
The Oil Production Technician is responsible for supporting the production, refinement, and packaging of cannabis oil products in a GMP-compliant facility. This role works closely with the Team Lead to ensure all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards set by Health Canada.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform oil processing activities including refinement, dilution, and packaging (e.g., bottled oil, capsules)

Operate production equipment such as rotary evaporators, mixers, and filling machines

Accurately measure, calculate, and prepare product formulations

Maintain batch records and ensure accurate documentation

Follow all SOPs, GMP standards, and safety protocols

Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas

Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs

Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns
Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous experience in a production, food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis environment is an asset

Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy

Ability to follow strict procedures and work in a regulated environment

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)

Must pass a mathematical assessment
Working Conditions:

Physically demanding role (lifting up to 25 kg / 55 lbs, standing for extended periods)

Exposure to strong odours, bright lighting, and humid environments

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
