Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician/Optical Assistant/Sales to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist customers with selecting eyewear and understanding lens options
- Measure and record customer prescriptions accurately
- Prepare and process optical products using laboratory equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and explaining product features
- Maintain organized displays and ensure the cleanliness of the optical area
- Support the dispensing of glasses and contact lenses under supervision
- Manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
- Utilize electronic health records systems update patient information
- Collaborate with optometrists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Stay informed about new optical products, trends, and industry standards
Experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health is preferred
- Laboratory experience or optical experience is highly advantageous
- Experience in retail sales or customer service roles, especially within retail management or sales environments, is beneficial
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Prior experience working in optical settings or healthcare environments will be considered an asset
