We are seeking a dedicated and personable Front Desk Agent - (overnight shift) to join our boutique hotel team. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in setting the tone for each guest’s stay, providing attentive, friendly service in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a guest-focused environment, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences. Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet and assist guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and inviting arrival experience.
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservation management using our hotel property management system (PMS).
- Answer calls, respond to guest inquiries, and provide information about the hotel and surrounding area.
- Maintain accurate guest records and manage daily front desk documentation and correspondence.
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs (such as Word, Excel, and Outlook) for internal communication and scheduling.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless service and attention to detail.
- Address guest concerns with care and efficiency, offering thoughtful solutions that reflect our commitment to excellence.
- Process guest payments and ensure accurate transaction handling during check-in and check-out.
- Uphold guest confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and service standards.
- Maintain and clean the front desk area, back office, main lobby, elevator lobby and elevator.
- Support housekeeping by moving laundry up to the housekeeping room and folding towels.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent or in a guest-facing hospitality role is an asset, though not required.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a boutique, fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in people and a natural ability to make guests feel valued and at home.
- Proficient with phone systems and office software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Keen attention to detail when handling guest preferences, requests, and transactions.
- Positive attitude, smart casual appearance, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) is an asset but not required.
- Weekend shifts are required.
- Focused on anticipating guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, and professional.
- Strong problem-solving skills paired with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to assist with holiday or occasional night shift coverage is appreciated, though not required.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Reliability and motivation—you take initiative and show up ready to work.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
