Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gravel Pit Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on our job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate a loader to load trucks with various aggregate materials
- Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, and graders for various tasks at the pit.
- Operate a water truck on roadways for dust control.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment use and safety practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with grader operation, backhoe operation, loader operation, and bulldozing techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with water truck operation, water pumps etc is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- Class 3 Drivers License with Q Endorsement
- Strong understanding of the aggregates or construction materials industry is highly desirable.
