Armour is presently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Reporting to the Hotel Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with the
accounting staff and Management teams at the Delta Hotel by Marriot Dartmouth, Barrington
hotel and Muir Hotel in Downtown Halifax.
As Account Payable Specialist, you will:
- Complete data entry to ensure all accounts payable invoices and cheque requests
are recorded in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Accounts Payable Credit card reconciliations.
- Coordinate accounts payable EFT payment runs upon approval.
- Identify and coordinate a response to invoice discrepancies with possible solutions
in a timely manner.
- Examine vendor statements for past-due invoices and collaborates with vendors to
maintain accounts up to date.
- Respond to queries from vendors
- Assist with Accounts Receivable collection and invoice issuance, when required.
- Ensure all accounts payable files are kept up to date.
- Fill out and submits new vendor set-up request forms.
- Assist Hotel Accountants in preparing monthly accrual estimates.
- Provide payment and coding assistance to hotel staff, upon request.
- Miscellaneous Accounts Payable postings.
- Other similar and related duties as required

- University degree or technical diploma with a focus in finance or accounting
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail
