Guardium Towing is seeking experienced Owner Operator Tow Truck Drivers who own and operate their own tow truck. We are looking for professional, reliable contractors to join our growing team and provide exceptional towing and roadside assistance services throughout Alberta.
As an Owner Operator, you will operate your own truck while receiving dispatches from Guardium Towing. This is an excellent opportunity to maximize your earnings with consistent work and the support of an established dispatch team.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to dispatched towing and roadside assistance calls.
- Safely tow and transport vehicles from accident scenes, breakdowns, impounds, dealerships, repair shops, and customer locations.
- Perform vehicle recoveries using proper towing and recovery techniques.
- Conduct pre- and post-service vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate service records and required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, police, insurance companies, and roadside assistance providers.
- Keep your tow truck clean, well-maintained, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and provincial transportation regulations.
- Deliver excellent customer service on every call.
Requirements
- Must own and operate your own tow truck (flatbed, wheel-lift, medium-duty, or heavy-duty).
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence with the appropriate endorsements.
- Commercial vehicle insurance and all required registrations.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Previous towing or recovery experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of towing equipment and safe recovery procedures.
- Smartphone with GPS and the ability to use dispatch software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
