About the Role
The Recruiter is responsible for delivering full-cycle recruitment services across assigned portfolios, partnering with HR and hiring leaders to identify resourcing needs and execute attraction, sourcing, assessment, offer, and pre-boarding activities. This role provides trusted guidance to hiring managers, supports inclusive hiring practices, and ensures a consistent, candidate-focused, and compliant recruitment process.
This role will support recruitment of new roles associated with our proposed LNG Canada Phase 2 expansion spanning the execution stages of the project including commissioning, start-up, and operations. Additional recruitment support for the broader LNG Canada needs as required.
This position is contingent upon project funding, which is currently pending approval by the Joint Venture Participants. Anticipated position term of 4 years.

You will use your expertise to:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, from sourcing through pre-boarding, delivering a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Develop and deliver innovative attraction strategies to build LNG Canada’s talent pipeline.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across recruitment activities, building talent pools for critical roles.
- Support attraction and sourcing events (e.g., career fairs, sponsorship events) as needed.
- Partner with HR and hiring leaders to understand resourcing needs and provide expert guidance on recruitment processes.
- Coach hiring managers on the recruitment process to ensure clear understanding of responsibilities and timeline commitments.
- Manage stakeholders to enable advertising, posting, screening, assessment, offer management, and pre-boarding activities.
- Source candidates through multiple channels, including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), employee referrals, LinkedIn, external search agencies, job boards, and networking.
- Coordinate and prepare job descriptions for posting.
- Maintain timely and accurate position and candidate records in the ATS.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, equal opportunity, direct competitor, anti-trust, and anti-bribery guidelines at all times.
- Set up and manage talent pools for pre-identified critical job groups.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new recruitment strategies, programs, and procedures.
To be successful, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of recruitment experience (oil and gas industry experience preferred).
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, preferably in oil and gas or heavy industry, across multiple portfolios (e.g., Projects, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering).
- Experience proactively sourcing candidates using social media, résumé databases, and professional networks.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with demonstrated strategic thinking and sound decision-making.
- Credible and confident, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels—internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement recruitment processes and sourcing strategies.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to the value of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong attention to detail.
