The Driver is responsible for driving the truck to pick up food donations for the kitchen.
This is a casual contract. The starting range for this position is $21.61 to $23.61 per hour.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive the truck daily to stores and houses to pick up food donations as directed by the Kitchen Manager. Follows established route, but plans other routes as required.
- Drive in a courteous and safe manner. Serve donors with promptness and punctuality. Interact with donors in a courteous, respectful, and gracious way that represents UGM well.
- Sign pick up sheets and invoices when required.
- Load, unload, and sort donations.
- Clean the truck.
- Responsible for the security of the truck.
- Inform Maintenance Manager and Kitchen Manager when truck maintenance is required.
- Use the gas card to fill the truck with gas when needed. Submit gas receipts to the Kitchen Manager.
- Adhere to all UGM published policies, practices and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KSA’s
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Food safe certification.
- Basic English skills (verbal, reading and writing).
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an industrial kitchen. Frequent environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
This position requires extended periods of driving, as well as frequent entering and exiting of the truck. The employee must be able to regularly load, unload, and move food donations and other materials. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 35 lbs. regularly. Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying are required.
Frequent environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
This position works a rotation of day and evening shifts. Moderate overtime may be required.
Job requires working with chemicals.
