_ Inventory & Bookkeeping Coordinator (Restaurant Operations)_

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory & Bookkeeping Coordinator to support our restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen inventory, coordinating food and beverage orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and assisting with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping. Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain food, beverage, and restaurant supply inventory levels.
- Prepare and place purchase orders with suppliers.
- Track deliveries and verify received items against invoices and purchase orders.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor food costs, waste, and inventory usage.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
- Coordinate with kitchen and management teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Enter and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Review supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and filing.
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and inventory records.
- Assist with daily sales reporting and bank deposit reconciliation.
- Maintain organized financial and operational records.
- Support payroll administration and employee record management as required.
- Prepare reports for management regarding inventory costs, purchasing trends, and expenses.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, deliveries, shortages, and product availability.
- Negotiate pricing and seek cost-saving opportunities where appropriate.
- Maintain vendor databases and purchasing records.
- Ensure timely ordering of products to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management, purchasing, bookkeeping, or restaurant administration.
- Experience working in the food service, hospitality, or restaurant industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of food cost controls and inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and POS systems.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with kitchen and management teams.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food costing.
- Experience with supplier ordering and inventory control systems.
- Ability to analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
