Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pelvic Floor Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized therapy to patients with pelvic health concerns, including those related to childbirth, surgery, or chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse patient populations and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and case management. The Pelvic Floor Therapist will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through personalized treatment plans, patient education, and collaborative care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ pelvic health issues, including physical examinations and data collection.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercises, and patient education to improve pelvic floor function.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and special education professionals, to coordinate care.
- Manage case documentation accurately and maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on pelvic health topics, including prevention strategies and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist in research initiatives related to pelvic health to stay current with emerging practices and contribute to clinical studies when applicable.
Experience
- Knowledge of research methodologies related to pelvic health is advantageous.
- Strong background in patient care, case management, and data collection related to physical therapy or rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pelvic health and rehabilitation therapies is essential.
