Full-Time Heavy Duty Mechanic
CP Water Hauling is currently seeking a 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Technician, to be based out of our shop in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, with some travel to field locations.
CP Water Hauling is a family owned business which services the oilfield and local industries. Our fleet includes water trucks and vacuum trucks, and trailers. Our mechanics ensure that all company equipment is maintained in excellent working condition by inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing the fleet both in the shop and in the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain vehicles and trailers, and perform other routine preventative maintenance work;
- Complete and maintain maintenance documentation;
- Ability to repair mechanical components;
- Complete detailed, clear, and concise work orders;
- Maintain shop in a clean, safe, and environmentally sound manner;
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends when necessary; some travel to diagnose and repair equipment in the field will be required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
- Industry experience would be an asset;
- Valid Class 3 Driver's license required;
- Safe driving skills; a clean driver’s abstract will be requested;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques.
WAGES
- To be negotiated based on experience.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
