Corydon Community Centre is recruiting a task oriented, motivated, full-time Program Coordinator who is a team player and comfortable in a fast paced environment. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the Community Centre’s programming (recreation, sports, special events). This includes implementation, administration and coordination of Corydon Community Centre programming.
The duties of this position will include:
- provide leadership in the development, and monitoring of programs including recruiting, hiring and liaising with program staff and volunteers
- Support the enhancement of participant, athlete, coach and volunteer development through the program development cycle
- To coordinate and create special events
- To assist in the delivery of all Centre programs
- To recruit, train and recognize program volunteers
- To answer phone inquiries/emails related to Centre programming
- To assist with registration
- To assist with sport facility bookings including soccer pitches, baseball diamonds, football fields and gyms
- To make necessary arrangements pertaining to camps and clinics as required.

Working hours:
- Irregular or long hours at time of special events or to coordinate evening and off-hour activities.
- Evening and weekend work is required on a regular basis

- Travel using a personal vehicle is a requirement of the position
Credentials and Experience
- Post- Secondary degree – Bachelor of Recreation and/or Sport Management required or other related degree
- 3 – 5 years’ previous program planning experience in community recreation/sport setting or related position is an asset
- Experience managing staff or working with volunteers
