Duties
The Parliamentary Precinct Branch (PPB) is a branch of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) responsible for managing, restoring, modernizing, and maintaining Canada’s Parliamentary Precinct, including Parliament Hill and the surrounding buildings that support the work of Parliament. It leads major infrastructure projects, oversees day-to-day operations of parliamentary facilities, and implements the long-term vision and plan to preserve these nationally significant heritage assets while ensuring they meet the needs of a modern, accessible, secure, and sustainable Parliament.
PPB acts as the property owner and project manager for Parliament’s buildings and grounds on behalf of the Government of Canada, working closely with the Senate of Canada, House of Commons, and other parliamentary partners to provide the facilities that enable Canada’s democratic institutions to operate.
As a Real Property Analyst you would be responsible for the overall planning, organization, and coordination of the portfolio in support of the Parliamentary Precinct Branch's Long Term Plan and Vision (https://www.canada.ca/en/services/culture/events-celebrations-commemorations/experience-canada-capital/parliament-hill.html). This includes:
1. Program Management: This group takes a broad view of the operations of the program as a whole. This group also ensures plans and priorities are in line with the program mandate and Government of Canada priorities and ensures appropriate resources are available and allocated.
2. Portfolio Management: This group is responsible to ensure there is an optimized plan in place in order to meet program objectives, along with ongoing management and oversight of the plan.
3. Asset Management: This group creates specific plans for each asset in line with both program objectives and the portfolio plan.
4. Investment Management: This group reviews project submissions to ensure they are in line with policy requirements around investments and ensures alignment with program, portfolio and asset strategies. This group also performs an in-depth review of proposed options to ensure value for money.

Intent of the process
A pool of partially assessed candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with a bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB or CBC/CBC) language requirement, (reliability or secret) security, and/or various tenures.
This pool will be opened to other Departments. By ing to this process, you consent to your personal application-related information being shared with other government departments interested in staffing similar positions.
Note: While the candidates qualified as part of this process will be available for all departments to staff from, the positions related to the Parliamentary Portfolio are located within the National Capital Region.

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics

Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
