General Laborer Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators, painters, and welders with daily production tasks
- Load, unload, and organize signage materials (wood, metal, plastic, LED)
- Operate hand tools and basic power tools under supervision
- Clean work areas, remove debris, and maintain shop organization
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Follow all safety protocols including PPE and machine safety
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
- Support additional production duties as assigned
General Laborer Qualifications
- High school diploma, Grade 12, or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in a lumber yard, industrial yard, warehouse, manufacturing, or heavy material handling environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn
- Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic English communication skills
- Valid Class G driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to stand for up to 8-hour shifts
- Valid Forklift Certification asset
- Available to start immediately (next business day)
Employment Details
- Location: Orillia, Ontario
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime possible)
- Employment Type: Temporary role with possibility of extension
