We are currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Scale Operator based out in Nisku. Reporting to the Nisku Plant Crew Supervisor and working closely with the Asphalt Sales Manager, this position is responsible for the overall efficient operations of Carmacks asphalt plant scale house, ensuring that trucks move across the scale safely and efficiently.
What is the role?
- Establishes schedule for haul and load times and communicates with paving crews to ensure that trucks are being utilized efficiently;
- Responsible for some data entry – aggregate delivery tickets, asphalt oil delivery tickets;
- Supervises Carmacks municipal truck drivers;
- Completes and submits hired truck sign on packages;
- Enforces our “safety first” attitude and ensuring that all truck drivers are wearing the required PPE;
- Responsible for loading trucks through computerized asphalt plant load-out system;
- Other duties as assigned.
