Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of construction, repair, and restoration tasks to maintain and improve residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience with a range of skills including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and more. This position offers monthly bonuses based on performance and project completion, providing opportunities for additional earnings. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
Duties
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform carpentry, framing, and repair work
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans for various projects
- Install flooring, tile, and other finishing materials with precision
- Conduct restoration work including drywall repair, caulking, and painting
- Perform plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks or installing fixtures
- Carry out welding tasks when necessary for structural repairs or custom fabrication
- Assist with construction painting projects to ensure quality finishes
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout each project
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to assess needs and provide solutions
- Complete projects efficiently while adhering to deadlines and specifications
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques including framing, drywall installation, and flooring
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience in carpentry, tile laying, restoration work, plumbing, welding, and painting preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members or clients
- Dependability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
