Interested in helping students achieve academic success? If so, consider a tutor position with Sylvan Learning Centre in South Edmonton. Sylvan is recruiting individuals who can teach the Sylvan programs of reading, math, and writing and who can tutor high school math, chemistry, and biology. Tutors work with up to 3-4 students in centre, providing individualized instruction to each student. Tutoring is offered to students 4-8 pm Monday through Thursday and daytime hours on Saturday. This position will continue through July and August.
Applicants are accepted who have a degree (preferably B.Ed.) or who are in the 3rd or 4th year of a degree program. The person who best qualifies has a positive attitude, works well with students of all ages, and is an effective motivator.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
