Driver & Delivery Team Member
Donald Flooring Contract Sales Ltd. is seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and hardworking Material Handler / Driver & Swamper to join our operations team. This role is responsible for delivering materials to commercial job sites, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring materials are handled professionally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles including:
- Cube vans
- 3-ton trucks with lift gates
- Complete deliveries to construction sites and commercial locations
- Load, unload, lift, and maneuver flooring and construction materials
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain delivery documentation and communicate effectively with site teams
- Support warehouse and material handling operations as required
- Navigate downtown/core delivery environments efficiently and professionally
- Follow all company safety procedures and safe lifting practices
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Full Driver’s License in the Province of BC
- Current Driver’s Abstract required
- Experience driving:
- Cube vans
- 3-ton trucks with lift gates
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Good comprehension and ability to follow instructions and delivery documentation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience with downtown/core area deliveries considered an asset
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering materials over 50 lbs with appropriate lifting assists and equipment
- Strong attention to safety, punctuality, and professionalism
Schedule
- Regular shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Some seasonal schedule fluctuations and overtime may be required
