Shindico is a Winnipeg based, full service commercial real estate organization. We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to join our rapidly expanding operations.
The Building Manager will be responsible for a 189-suite apartment building on Pembina, in Fort Garry, Winnipeg and will work directly with the on-site Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with tenants, multitask, organize staff schedules and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Previous Building Manager experience is an asset. Previous managerial experience in any capacity will be considered.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage scheduling for two site staff personnel
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs, maintenance, and provide access to the property/suite
- Liaise with tenants and trades via phone and email
- Track and follow up on open work orders
- Communicate with head office on a daily basis
- Perform move-in and move-out inspections
- Assist with notice distribution to tenants
- Inspect vacant and upcoming suites and schedule repairs as required
- Perform daily checks of the property
- Annual suite inspections
- Available during the day
- Respond to emergency after-hours calls (Phone will be provided)
